Are you confused by what all the numbers and buttons on the lens and body of your DSLR mean?
“Getting Started in DSLR Photography” will show you how to get off that “Auto” mode and start using your DSLR more creatively. It’s the perfect starting point if you’re brand new to DSLR photography!
Because this is a workshop for absolute beginners, we start at the very beginning – by looking at:
Then, we look at more advance camera operations, to give you creative control over your photography:
Part of this workshop includes a photo walk in Bunbury with a model — where you’ll be able to put what you have learned into practice, and be guided in your photography by your instructor.
You don’t need to bring a tripod to this workshop.
I attended the “Intro” course in Bunbury on 21 April ’13 which was was very informative and extremely enjoyable. The presenters not only know everything there is to know about the topic, they are experienced trainers and understand how adults learn. It was well paced with lots of time for questions and clarification and then time for a practical “hands-on” session. I would HIGHLY recommend this business.
Loved today! Thanks for the clarity. I can find a new grasp on my light control, Thanks so much Seng, Christian and Graeme. (Stacey Deegan)
Did a 1 day DSLR workshop. The info was terrific and well delivered. Lots of interaction with all in the class and nobody got left behind. Would recommend them to anyone interested in increasing their photography skills. (Greg Peisley)
Thanks so much for all your valuable information at the workshop on Saturday. I had a blast and learnt alot. I cannot wait to attend another workshop with you guys. (Kaylene Stalteri)
I wanted to thank you, Christian and Graeme for a very worthwhile workshop on Saturday. Previously I was too nervous to fiddle around with any settings on my camera as I really had no idea what they all did. Now, thanks to your class and assistance, I’m pleased to say that I do have a better understanding of things and will definitely be experimenting and playing around in manual in the future to see what I can achieve.
I came straight home and immediately downloaded my pictures onto the computer. I must say that there were a number of pictures of Sarah that I was pretty proud of – I can’t believe that I actually took them. But maybe some of the credit should go to her, as she was an excellent and very photogenic model! (Cindy Reinders)
Thank you Seng, Christian and Graeme for all your help today and also to Emily, don’t think it’s possible to take a bad photo of you! (Anna Rees)
What an absolutely fabulous day guys! I had a ball and learnt so much .. Thank you!! (Olivia Treasure)
Thanks guys, you made it easy and fun – happy to be off auto!! (Stacey McEldowney)
Thank you for such an informative and fun workshop today, had an absolute blast and learnt so so much. My camera has not really left my hand since I got home, am so eager to keep learning and stay on manual settings. (Samantha Halls-Klem)
Thank you so much for the opportunity, it was lovely meeting you and Christian and I learned a lot I didn’t know. I hope you come to Bunbury more often, I would definitely be a regular, thank you again it was great!!! (Amy Ovans)
Stoked to have been a part of Venture Photography’s DSLR workshop today. Feeling very informed and ready to grow in my photography
Thanks guys – what an awesome day. (Sarah Taylor)
Awesome Workshop (Getting Started in DSLR Photography) Thanks for a fantastic day!!! (Christine Curciarello)
Many thanks for the wonderful relaxed workshop I attended on Saturday, “Getting Started in DSLR Photography”. I really felt that you dealt with the basics at a speed and level that everyone could understand. I never felt hurried or confused and left the course with a MUCH better idea of what I can do with my camera, as opposed to what my camera can do on auto! It’s greatly appreciated. (Lee Thompson)
