Join Craig Franke and Seng Mah for a morning of learning about macro and close-up photography. This workshop is designed for beginners to macro photography and is the perfect starting point if you’re looking to learn how to best use your macro lens or how to take great close up photographs.
You’ll learn about the differences between shooting in true macro vs close-up and find out more about the various equipment that macro photographers use. You will also learn the techniques used to shoot macro, from focus to depth of field and lighting to help you take the perfect macro shot!
The session begins with an introduction to macro and close up photography, followed by demonstrations of the key techniques to shoot great macro and close ups. Then, you’ll be hands-on shooting with help and guidance from Craig and Seng.
Places in this workshop are limited to 15, so make sure you book in to avoid missing out.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
An interchangeable lens camera such as a DSLR or compact system camera (mirrorless camera).
A dedicated macro lens (if you don’t have one, you can also shoot close ups with a telephoto lens).
Memory cards and a spare battery.
Bring any macro accessories you may have, including tripod, extension tubes, macro rail and flash speedlight.
