In this workshop, we cover two of the more popular “scapes” in photography — photographing seascapes and nightscapes. This “two-in-one” workshop will show you how to capture amazing seascapes, using ND (neutral density) filters to create the blur of movement in the water. You’ll learn how to choose the best filter for the best effect.
Then, once the sun has set, you will look at photographing nightscapes, learning how to use the best settings for night photography and to capture the colours and intensity of light at night.
The location for this mini-workshop is City Beach on the Indian Ocean coast.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- DSLR or Interchangeable Lens Camera with spare battery (long exposures chew up a lot of battery life).
- A stable tripod.
- ND filters (we recommend at least an ND32/5-stop filter).
- Cable release.
- Clothing suitable for the weather.
- Insect repellant.
- A headlamp or small flashlight for when it gets dark.
Don’t miss out on this opportunity to learn to shoot amazing seascapes and landscapes. Places are limited only to 15 participants. See you there!
