“Intimate Ink” is the fourth in our lighting workshops series, dedicated to exploring the creative use of lighting to create mood, evoke emotion and to shape face and figure. This workshop focuses on boudoir photography and lighting to create an intimate, sensual and glamorous atmosphere in soft, low light.

We will show you how to shoot boudoir with our very unique, tattooed model, Briony. You’ll learn how to light for expression, for form and figure, and to set up evocative lighting even in the most ordinary of locations using constant lights and simple props. Add a different, very creative dash of boudoir to your portfolio as you explore all that lighting, posing and expression can bring to your photography.

Places are limited to only 8 photographers to make sure you have enough time to shoot with Briony.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• A camera that allows you to shoot in full manual exposure (eg. a DSLR, micro four-thirds camera, mirrorless camera).
• One or more lenses that can cover a focal range of around 70mm- 100mm for a 35mm equivalent sensor (ie. 50mm on a crop frame, 45mm for a micro four-thirds sensor). Lenses that can open wide (f2.8, f1.8, f1.4) will be beneficial.
