Join us for a fun and energetic workshop on creating wet and wild beach portraits using your camera and flash speedlight.

Splash Flash Pop shows you how to use a flash speedlight when shooting in bright sunlight. You will learn how flash can improve your portraits, even in full sun.

During the session, we will cover the three key elements of sunny portrait photography with flash:

How to use flash to fill in shadows
How flash exposure compensation works, and how to control it
High-speed sync, and why it can change the way you shoot

You will also get plenty of hands-on shooting time with our beach models. Expect action shots, water splashes, hair flicks, and big summer smiles.

What You Will Need

An interchangeable lens camera (mirrorless or DSLR)
A 24–70mm or 24–105mm lens, or a crop-frame equivalent
A flash speedlight with TTL metering and high-speed sync

Important: If you are unsure whether your speedlight has these features, please contact us before booking or check your speedlight manual.

You should also bring a hat, sunscreen, and suitable sun-protective clothing.

This workshop is limited to eight photographers. This small group size ensures you have plenty of time, space, and guidance to learn and shoot with confidence.
