Take your photography to new heights!

Venture Photography Workshops give you the opportunity to develop your photography in a hands-on, supportive workshop environment.

Based in Up on High Studio in Fremantle, the workshops will give you the skills to do more with your camera and with your creative eye.

The workshops are conducted by Seng Mah and Greg Perry. With a maximum of 8 to 10 participants per workshop, you are guaranteed to maximise one-on-one time with your instructor and get plenty of opportunity to shoot!

SPRING 2010 Workshop Programme

Flash Photography Fasttrack

Level: Beginner-Intermediate

Saturday 23 October 2010
10am – 1pm
$120  ($100 earlybird – book and pay by 30 September)

Flash Photography Fasttrack will lift the veil on the “mysteries” of flash photography. In three hours, you’ll gain a solid understanding of how your speedlight flash works and how you can use it to add intensity and impact to your photographs.

This workshop is a great introduction to flash photography and will equip you with the confidence and skills to use your flash speedlight on and off camera. You will also learn flash photography techniques such as bounce flash, and how flash modifiers can affect the quality of light.

Maximising your DSLR [FULL]

This workshop is aimed at beginning photographers who have just started using a Digital SLR (DSLR) and who would like to learn more about their camera, its features and functions.

If you’ve been taking photographs with your DSLR on the Automatic setting, and want to gain greater control over your camera and the photographs you create, then Maximising your DSLR is for you.

Practical Portraiture

Level: Beginner to Intermediate

Have you ever wanted to photograph your family or friends in a studio setting, but (a) do not have access to a studio/studio lighting and (b) don’t really know much about using studio lights?

Studio Stay and Play is designed for beginner or intermediate photographers who would like to shoot an actual studio portrait sitting and learn while they shoot.

1-on-1 Photography Workshop

The 1-on-1 Photography Workshop gives you the opportunity to learn at your own pace, using a lesson which has been specifically customised to your own learning curve.

Whether you’re a beginner, or you would like to gain more skills and knowledge in particular aspects of photography (eg. studio lighting), your own unique workshop will ensure that you don’t become lost in “information overload” and that you have time to revisit topics where you require further assistance.
