Venture Photography Workshops give you the opportunity to develop your photography in a hands-on, supportive workshop environment, giving you the skills to do more with your camera and your creative eye!

We offer small group workshops and 1-on-1 workshops.

SMALL GROUP WORKSHOPS

Small group workshops are a great way to learn photography in a social and supportive setting. We limit our small group workshops to a maximum of 10 to 15 participants, to ensure you get enough time with your instructor and have plenty of opportunity to shoot! Small group workshops are conducted by Seng Mah and Greg Perry.

Getting Started in DSLR Photography

Studio Lighting Fasttrack

Better Travel Photography

Practical Portraiture

If you’re looking at building your skills in portrait photography, then Practical Portraiture will equip you with the skills, knowledge and confidence to photograph portraits both indoors and outdoors. This interactive and hands-on workshop will develop your ability to work with your portrait subjects and to use both natural and flash lighting to create beautiful portraits.

Wedding Photography Essentials

Wedding Photography Essentials is an exclusive full-day workshop designed to give you the skills and knowledge to be well-prepared and well-equipped to successfully photograph a wedding. This workshop covers both theoretical and practical aspects of effective wedding photography, and includes a practical, hands-on mock-wedding shoot in Fremantle.

1-ON-1 WORKSHOPS

1-on-1 workshops gives you the opportunity to learn at your own pace, with a lesson that is customised to where you’re at with your photography and the specific skills and knowledge you would like to gain. A range of 1-on-1 workshops are available across a range of photography areas.

This is an ideal workshop for beginners to DSLR photography who would like to learn how to use it more effectively and creatively. This workshop will get you off “Auto mode” and shooting with great confidence and creativity. The workshop can be held at our Fremantle studio.

Kick-Start Studio Photography

Kick Start Studio Photography is an exclusive 1-on-1 workshop aimed at giving you the skills and techniques to undertake studio photography – with an emphasis on studio portraiture.

This hands-on workshop is aimed at photographers who have invested in studio lighting, and who would like to learn the ins and outs of studio photography

Studio Fine Art Nude Photography

Cost: $550

Learn about studio photography in the context of lighting and photographing the nude human figure. By photographing a female or male model and being guided through the photography process, you will learn about approaches to fine art nude photograpy, working with models and techniques of lighting the nude human figure. Sony DSLR users will require a hotshoe adaptor.
