Bali: Island of the Gods – Images from the Workshops
I’ve just returned from running two multi-day photography workshops in Bali in June and July. These workshops are designed to be opportunities for participants to learn and be challenged in their photography, while also giving them incredible opportunities to capture and craft amazing images.
Across the five days of the workshops, we explored landscape, portrait and street photography, along with fast shutter speed shooting with an action-packed shoot at a local waterfall dam.
As one participant put it:
This workshop far exceeded my expectations. Every moment was filled with energy, beauty, and inspiration. One of the most unforgettable moments for me was the Sanghyang Sacred Horse Dance. The atmosphere felt almost otherworldly, with beams of sunlight piercing through the smoke, creating dramatic patterns that made our portrait session feel like a dream. Then came the grand finale — the water-throwing boys at Tukad Unda Dam. Standing ankle-deep in the river, I could hardly contain my excitement. With every splash, pose, and leap into the deeper waters, the boys created a joyful energy that made for stunning, dynamic photos. If you’re looking for an unforgettable photography adventure, don’t miss Seng’s epic workshop in 2026. It’s an experience you’ll treasure forever! (Irma Ferreira)
I also took the opportunity in the days between the workshops to scout out some landscapes and waterfalls, in preparation for next year’s workshops and photography retreat in Bali. Drop me a line if you’d like to be on the early notifications list for the 2026 Bali photography workshops and retreats.
