What is Shooty McShoot?
“Shooty McShoot” is a concept where photography enthusiasts can join in a styled shoot and just shoot to their hearts content, capturing portraits based on set creative themes and styles!
It’s where you gain experience in creative studio and portraiture lighting by actually doing it.
In this “Shooty McShoot”, the focus is on creative genre portraits. We have two male models who will be decked out in a range of themes, including “Sith Happens”, “God of Wrath”, “Edwardian Era Dapper” and “Rah Rah Rasputin”.
It’s a great way to shoot something that’s different for your portfolio and pick up tips on how you can professionally leverage lighting to achieve these effects.
Places in this shoot are limited to 6 photographers to ensure that you get the time to capture great portraits!
WHAT TO BRING
Your interchangeable lens camera (DSLR or mirrorless) with memory card/s and batteries (always bring a fully charged spare).
For best results, we recommend shooting with lenses with focal lengths in the range of 50-200mm.
If you use mirrorless cameras, please ensure that you have your camera’s “Live Exposure” turned off prior to attending this workshop. Please refer to your manual for instructions on how to do this.
