Thank you, Marshy!!
Some of us are very fortunate to be able to work with a mate and I count myself among that lucky few for having had Graeme Marsh as a co-instructor in our workshops over the last two years. He’s an exceptional photographer, a brilliant teacher, an epic adventurer and most of all, a big-hearted friend. Graeme has been an integral part of our workshops both in Bunbury and on our weekend photo safaris since 2012 and he has brought so much of what makes him such a great bloke to the culture of our workshops and weekenders.
Now, Graeme has decided to move on from photography workshops to devote more time to his growing family and I feel that Venture Photography Workshops will be poorer for his absence (we will try and soldier on without your brilliance, Marshy! 🙂 ). Truth be told, I begged and begged Graeme not to leave us (of which we will not go into any further detail as it does not behoove a grown man to be seen begging on his knees), but I know that Graeme’s decision to channel his energies into his family is very much in keeping with what makes him such a great person to begin with.
In the time that Graeme has been with Venture, he has been an superb mentor to many photographers in Bunbury, Busselton and the South West and has been a driving force in the development of a photographic community there — through the creation of the Bunbury Photo Walks, the very active Snap Happy South West online group and through his participation in photographic events in Bunbury. He even put up with wearing our terracotta hued (aka orange) Venture t-shirt during our summer workshops in Bunbury!
So, for all your amazing teaching, your generous support, your kindness, your sense of humour, your championing of photography and your unflagging friendship… I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to you, Marshy! I know you’ll love having more time to spend on Sandra and your boys and I hope we’ll see you back with us down the line!
