Tyger! Tyger! burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

There is nothing like seeing a tiger in the wild. The sight of it will take your breath away and leave you in awe of such a powerful and majestic apex predator.
This tiger photography safari is your gold ticket to an experience like no other as you explore three national parks in India in search of magnificent, royal Bengal Tigers.
India is famous for its conservancy of tigers. Once hunted nearly to the edge of extinction, a concerted and sustained effort in conserving tigers have once again brought their numbers back from the brink. The three national parks we will be exploring are known for their high densities of tigers, which increases the opportunities for sightings of these big cats in their natural habitat of saal and bamboo forests.
We have timed this safari for Winter in India, where the tigers will have grown their dense and luxurious winter coats, making them seem even more formidable and majestic!

We will be backed up by a team of highly experienced guides and drivers who understand what photographers need to nail that shot. Their expertise is what is going to make the difference on this safari: a vigilant guide and a skilled driver can anticipate animal behaviour and navigate to positions that are perfect for stunning photographs of these incredible big cats.
This isn’t your typical “drive around until you spot it” photography tour that you may have seen advertised around the traps (which is why Rathambore, India’s most over-touristed tiger national park, doesn’t feature in our itinerary). Our itinerary is designed to cover three unique national park with impressive tiger densities, and to allow us to access the national parks before it is open for visitors, and to stay in the park after it has closed in the evening to the public.
In addition to tigers, the national parks also boast a diverse species of birds, along with wildlife including leopards, langur monkeys, sloth bears, mongoose, wild dogs, deer and warthogs, so you will build a varied portfolio of wildlife photographs, crowned by images you take of Bengal Tigers in the wild.

The exclusivity of this experience cannot be downplayed — you will be guided by the very best guides, and supported in your photography of tigers by photography instructors who will help you select the right lens, optimise your camera settings, and master focus and composition to capture those images of tigers that you have been dreaming of. We will travel in two 4×4 safari vehicles, each with a very experienced driver, a spotter (park guide) and a photography instructor (myself and Nitish).
We will also have full day permits to the national parks, in order not to waste time traveling to/from our accommodation to the environments within the park. This maximises opportunities for sightings. These permits are only ever offered to photographers, filmmakers and serious wildlife enthusiasts, and only a limited number of permits are available per day. This is not something other tours provide.

You are our guest on this tour, so we believe you should do what guests do best: enjoy the experience, soak it all in, take amazing images and learn more about photography. We take care of all the rest, so you can focus on these.
All you need to do is get to the airport on Day 1, and we take care of all the rest. Your meals are on full board, your accommodation is at some of the very best lodges that the region has to offer, and your transfers between national parks and on your full day safaris are included.

When photography is directed towards wildlife, the itinerary needs to be fluid and flexible to accommodate sightings, movement and timing. For this tour, we will visit three national parks, two of which are Bandhavgarh and Kanha. The third will either be Panna or Tadoba National Park, which we will keep open based on tiger numbers and sightings closer to 2028.
Day 1 of the safari begins with our meeting at Delhi Airport, where we take a domestic flight to Khajuraho (for Panna National Park) or Nagpur (for Tadoba National Park).
We have three full days in each national park, with safari drives on each day to maximise wildlife sightings and photography.
On Day 12, we transfer to the airport for your flight back to Delhi.

Our luxury accommodation has been carefully selected so that we reside in eco-friendly wildlife lodges located close to each park’s entrance. This reduces the amount of travel time in the mornings for us to get into the park. Each lodge offers full board, and is experienced in hosting international guest when it comes to comfort, service and cleanliness.

You’ll enjoy the support of professional photography instructors on this tour. We offer our guidance to help enhance your photography of the tigers of India. From camera settings, to tips for framing and composition, we are here to help you capture extraordinary images.
I’ve (Seng) been teaching photography for 17 years, and have conducted wildlife photography safaris to Africa since 2014. I’ve also been to India 12 times, 10 of those conducting tours there. As an educator, I explain things in everyday language, and help you make sure that you’re set to capture incredible tiger images.
Nitish is a wildlife and nature photographer based in Delhi who has been conducting photography tours in India and Africa for 20 years. His experience in the nuances of tiger tracking and tiger behaviour is second to none. He is also well-versed in supporting photographers with tips, techniques and advice to optimise their photography while on a wildlife safari.
