We are blessed with some of the most amazing summer light here at the WA coast and Castaway Light will show you how to shoot beautifully soft and airy people images using late afternoon and evening light as it reflects off the sand and ripples across the waves.
This special event is part photo shoot and part workshop, as you work with our wonderful models to create unique photographs that tell the story of beautiful castaways washed upon the shores of a brave new world.
We begin in the late afternoon, shooting in natural light, where you will learn how to create high key, backlit images of our castaways as they emerge from the ocean.
As the sun dips lower and the sky turns gold, we bring out speedlights to show you how to work with both natural ambient light and off-camera flash lighting to create enticing and dramatic images of our shipwrecked models.
You will be guided through the beginning of each shoot, and then given the opportunity work directly with the models.
Castaway Light is a unique opportunity for photographers to participate in the creation of striking and alluring image storytelling. In small groups, you will work with each model, ensuring plenty of opportunity to direct and shoot.
Come and join us for a memorable afternoon of image making that you won’t forget!
